10/100M Ethernet over E1 Converter

1.Overview

ZCC-100 is a Network Termination Unit connecting Fast Ethernet LANs over single E1 circuit. The device enables service providers to supply high-capacity Ethernet services to remote locations, and transparent connection of corporate LANs over existing E1 lines. The device can be used in point-to-point or in point-to-multipoint topology work together with Central unit ZCC-1200N/ZCC-1500. The device uses HDLC/GFP encapsulation to map the Ethernet traffic over E1.Typical applications include:

  • Ethernet private Line / LAN services.
  • IP DSLAMs, Cellular IP, and WiMAX base station back-hauling.
  • Inter-office or Enterprise LAN connectivity.

4.Application

Figure 4-1 illustrates a typical application (point-to-point). With ZCC-100 system, the Ethernet is transferred by E1.

As shown in Figure.4-2, with EoPDH and VLAN technology, the remote Ethernet service can be transmitted and converged into the service center (Switch) by ZCC-1500(point-to-multipoint).
